PURPOSE:To protect the nozzle point of a fountain and to improve its appearance when the fountain is not in motion by covering the nozzle point of the fountain with a nozzle cover when the fountain is not in motion. CONSTITUTION:The nozzle cover 5 is provided at the point part of the fountain nozzle 4 so that it can be opened and closed freely. The piston rod 10 of a cylinder 7 fit to the fountain nozzle 4 is connected to one end of the nozzle cover 5. One room of the cylinder 7 is connected to the inside of the fountain nozzle 4 through a duct 12 of fountain water to open the nozzle cover 5 and a piston rod returning member 13 to close the nozzle cover 5 is inserted into the other room of the cylinder 7. As a result, the fountain nozzle can be kept from being injured by collision with a foreign matter, it can be protected reliably and an appearance and a sense of beauty can be elevated.
