PURPOSE:To obtain a group weld having good corrosion resistance and sufficient mechanical strength by forming the film of pure Sn or a Sn-Pb alloy containing a specified content of Pb on the surface of the lug of each plate. CONSTITUTION:Before performing group welding by casting the lugs 8 of a plurality of plates 3 using lead alloy substrates by pouring a molten metal 15 of Pb-Sb alloy, the surface of the lugs 8 are coated with pure Sn or a Sn-Pb alloy. If the Sn-Pb alloy is used as the coating material, since the wetting time is increased with increase of the content of Pb, the content of Pb is limited to 50% or less. The wettability in casting is thereby increased, and a group weld having good corrosion resistance and sufficient mechanical strength can be obtained. |
