Fungicidal compsn. contains as active ingredient 0.1-95 wt.% 3-(N-(methoxyacetyl)-N- (3-chloro-2,6-dimethylphenyl)) -amino-tetrahydro-2-furanone (I) as an unequal distribution of the 4 possible isomers in which the activity-determining (aS,1'R) enantiomer (Ia) is more than 25 wt.% formulated together with a suitable carrier. Also new are (1) (I) contg. more than 25 wt.% (Ia); (2) enantiomer (Ia) and (3) the (aS,1'R)-(Ia) and (aR,1'R)-(Ia) isomer mixts. More specifically, the (Ia) content is over 28, particularly 70 wt.%, most esp. 90% of more. Apart from (Ia), the compsn. contains the (aR,1'R) or (aR,1'S) isomer.
