The boiler comprises an exchanger consisting of n exchange units 18, each comprising a smoke tube 19 which is open in the combustion chamber (hearth) and overhangs from the rear wall 9 of the combustion chamber (hearth), and an exchange casing 21 which delimits, with the smoke tube, a laminar fluid exchange volume 22, so that the gases and smoke circulate from the rear wall to the inlet of the smoke tubes.
