PURPOSE:To provide the title aq. dispersion having excellent storage and mechanical stability, excellent stability fur use in combination with other resins, and excellent durability, etc., by modifying an aq. dispersion of a specific polyurethane with a specific polyepoxy compd. or a specific polyaziridine compd. CONSTITUTION:The title aq. dispersion is obtd. by modifying an aq. dispersion of a polyurethane (A) having a polyoxyalkylene residue having an MW of 1,000-20,000, composed of oxyethylene units alone or oxyethylene units and at least one structural unit selected from the group consisting of an oxypropylene unit and an oxybutylene unit, and carboxyl groups and an oxyethylene unit content of 0.5-30wt.% with a polyepoxy compd. having at least two oxirane rings or a polyaziridine compd. (B) having at least two aziridine rings above a stoichiometric amount based on said carboxyl groups. The aq. dispersion is excellent in storage stability, mechanical stability and stability for use in combination with other resins, reagents and fillers and has such excellent properties that it is excellent in permanence of adhesion to various substrates and resistance to water, solvents, chemicals and heat, etc.
