Seal for rolling bearings

The object is to specify a seal for rolling bearings which makes it possible to seal the annular gap between the inner and outer bearing races at least on one side of a rolling bearing cage, to arrange the sealing element provided for this purpose on the rolling bearing in such a way that it is protected from damage and to make a significant reduction in the sliding friction between the sealing element and the bearing races. For this purpose, the proposal is to arrange within the annular gap a sealing ring which rests sealingly against the adjacent circumferential surfaces of the inner and outer bearing races and to secure it to the rolling bearing cage.
