PURPOSE:To enable minute control of a carburetor by placing, in parallel, plural solenoid valves in a passage connecting a control pressure chamber to control the control member of a variable venturi type carburetor with a control power source and providing an orifice in a passage corresponding to each solenoid valve. CONSTITUTION:A variable venturi valve 6, which is inserted freely in elevation into the venturi part 1a of a carburetor C, has a venturi negative pressure chamber 8 and an atmospheric pressure chamber 9 above and below a piston- shaped pressure receiving part 6 provided at the upper end. The negative pressure chamber 8 is communicated with the venturi part 1a through a small hole 11 at the bottom of a valve 6 and the atmospheric pressure chamber 9 is released to the atmospheric pressure side through a through hole 12. Further in this case, the negative pressure chambers 8 are so arranged that they communicate with the atmospheric side through introduction pipes 161, 162 provided with solenoid vales 141, 142 and orifices 211, 212, respectively and made possible to supply pressure to actuate the variable venturi valve 6 toward opening. And each solenoid valve 141, 142 is so arranged that it may he controlled according to the operating condition of an engine by a controller 22.
