PURPOSE:To reduce tensile stress generated at a pin hole of a rotor blade, into which a pin is inserted, by adding compression residual stress previously to this pin hole, in a turbine rotor which is constituted as fixing the rotor blades on the outer circumferential parts of discs of the rotor, through the pins. CONSTITUTION:A turbine rotor 1 is constituted as setting plural discs 3 on the outside of a rotor 2, and setting plural rotor blades 4 on the outer circumferences of the discs 3 radially. Each of the rotor blades 4 is formed of a blade 5 and a dovetail 6 by which the blade 5 is attached to the disc 3. This dovetail 6 is fixed to the disc 3 by inserting a pin into a hole 8 of the dovetail 6. In this case, a gun 10 formed of a hollow rod equipped with a small hole 11 for injection, on its side face, is inserted into the pin hole 8, for performing shot peening on the inside diametrical face of the pin hole 8. In this way, compression residual stress is added previously to the high tensile stress part made at the pin hole 8.
