PURPOSE:To enable the display of a map easy to understand for a driver, by switching the display over to a desired system. CONSTITUTION:Based on informations from a map information memory (d) and a present position recognizing means (a), map informations and a present position are displayed in a display unit (e) through a navigation control unit (b). This display is changed selectively in accordance with the operation of a map display switching means (c) so that the upper side is positioned north or that the advancing direction of the vehicle is located on the upper side. Accordingly, right-turn and left-turn are not reversed on the picture plane of the display when the vehicle goes to the south, and thus the display can be made easy to understand for a driver. |
