PURPOSE:To obtain an image having excellent mechanical strength and stability by executing polymerizing and curing of a transferred image consisting of an unpolymerized polymerizable compd. obtd. on an image receiving material for <=100millisecond time by using light of >=1 Joule/cm<2> radiation energy. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive material having a photosensitive layer contg. a silver halide, reducing agent, polymerizable compd. and photopolymn. initiator on a base is subjected to a developing process simultaneously or after imagewise exposing. The photosensitive layer side of the photosensitive material and the image receiving layer side of the image receiving material having the image receiving layer on a base are superposed and are pressurized in this state to transfer the unpolymerized polymerizable compd. to the image receiving layer. The light of >=1 Joule/cm<2> radiation energy is then projected for <=100 millisecond time to the image receiving material. Since the quantity of the light necessary for polymerizing and curing of the unpolymerized polymerizable compd. is thereby introduced extremely quickly into the compd., the resultant image has the excellent mechanical strength and the high preservable stability is maintained for a long period of time. |
