The drive is preferably provided for the purpose of switching (operating) a circuit-breaker (2) and has an electric motor (3) which is connected to control lines. The drive is coupled to an operating knob (grip) (2a) of the circuit-breaker (2) via a gear (3a/4) and a mechanism interacting therewith. In this case, an output-side wheel of the gear is constructed as a control wheel (4) on which a making pull rod (6) is mounted on a crankpin (wrist) (6a). The making pull rod (6) engages in an arcuate link (7a) of a knob wheel (7) which is mounted concentrically with the operating knob (2a) of the adjacent automatic circuit-breaker (2) in the drive housing (1). The knob wheel (7) has a bearing (7c) for a breaking pull rod (8) and a control edge (7d) for operating a lever (9). The breaking pull rod (8) interacts positively with an annular recess (4a), having driver noses (4b), of the control wheel (4), while the lever (9) is mounted fixed to the housing and can be pivoted against the moment of an energy store (9a) acting on it by means of the control edge (7d) of the knob wheel (7). A first microswitch (11) for a breaking signal and a second microswitch (12) for a making signal are respectively connected in series with the control lines, each being operated by the lever (9).
