PURPOSE:To achieve the simplification of structure and the enhancement in assembling workability by air-tightly connecting the fitting part between the upper shell and the lower shell and that between a discharge muffler and the upper shell, after the upper shell has been fitted to the lower shell. CONSTITUTION:The constituting components including a discharge muffler 32 to be housed in a shell are preliminarily assembled at a place outside the shell, and then they are fitted and fixed inside the shell 16. And the lead wire 13c of an electric motor 13 is connected to the sealed lead wire terminal 20 provided on the upper shell 17 side. Thereafter, the upper shell 17 is fitted to a lower shell 10, and then the fitting part between both shells and that between a discharge muffler 32 and the upper shell 17 are air-tightly connected. Then, at the time of temporary assembly, the discharge muffler 32 is press-fitted and held in the ring-shaped projection 30 on the fixed scroll 1 side via a sealing member 31, and at the time of welding, it is joined and fixed to the upper shell 17 side. Thus, the simplification of whole constitution can be achieved, and the assembling workability can be significantly enhanced. |
