PURPOSE:To obtain a foul breath removing agent having foul breath removing effects and suppressing effects on retention of Streptococcus mutans, containing lumin as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:A foul breath removing agent useful in the form of toothpaste, tooth powder, liquid dentrifrice, mouth wash, gargling tablet, gingiva massaging cream, paste for oral cavity, troche, candy and gum, containing 0.001-2wt.% lumin. The above-mentioned foul breath removing agent may be incorporated with another odor eliminating active ingredient such as platonin besides lumin and further mixed with an enzyme such as dextranase, sodium monofluorophosphate and a chlorohexidine. The above-mentioned foul breath removing agent has excellent odor eliminating effects and preventing effects on dental caries by suppressing formation of bacterial plaque. |
