PURPOSE:To effectively cut discharge light without reducing the light quantity of excitation light, by providing an aperture which transmits only a laser beam emitted from a gas laser in the optical path of the laser beam and cuts the discharge light. CONSTITUTION:The apertures 11 and 12 are provided on the optical path between an He-Ne laser 1 that is the gas laser and a galvanometer mirror 2. Those apertures 11 and 12 are made of light shielding materials, and circular openings 11a and 12a are provided in the center of them, and their diameters are formed a little larger than the beam diameter of the laser beam 1, Thereby, most of the discharge light 1b emitted from the laser 1 are made incident on and cut by the light shielding part of the aperture 11. Also, the discharge light 1b'. that is a part of the discharge light 1b and whose emitting angle is set adjacently to the laser beam 1a passes through the aperture 11, however, most of them are cut by the aperture 12. In such a way, it is possible to cut the discharge light effectively without reducing the light quantity of the excitation light.
