PURPOSE:To obtain an image in a desired arbitrary color by designating an image forming area, and a gradation value to each developing color, generating an image signal corresponding to the designated gradation value, and exposing and developing. CONSTITUTION:The titled device is provided with an operating panel 5, a color designating part 8, a variable power setting part 9, a sheet number setting part 10, ten keys 11, a copying button 12, and an area designating start button 13. That is, an image forming area is designated, and a gradation value to each developing color is designated. Subsequently, an image signal corresponding to the gradation value designated by such a gradation value designating means is generated, exposed to a photosensitive body, based on this image signal, and the exposed image is developed. In such a way, by changing an image data of each developing color, a color conversion can be executed.
