The proposed valve (2) has a valve seat (3) of plane design with a valve hole (4) and a rubber-like elastic valve body (5), which has a sealing flange (9) directed against the valve seat (3) and is arranged inside a holder (7). A special feature of the valve (2) is a spigot (6), elastically supported inside the valve body (5), which spigot on the end towards the valve seat (3) has a stop surface (12) of plane design. The stop surface (12) is aligned in such a way that, in closing the valve (2) the sealing flange (9) comes to bear first on the valve seat (3), and the stop surface (12) only once the sealing flange (9) has been applied with sufficient pressure. Due to the elastic bearing of the spigot (6), the whole of the stop surface (12) is applied to the valve seat (3). The valve seat (3) and the spigot (6) prevent the occurrence of any radial deformation from outside, which might lead to damaging of the sealing flange (9) in hydraulic pressurising of the sealing flange (9). <IMAGE>
