<p>The cutter is a hand tool with interchangeable blade having a cutter handle (1) comprising a front section (2) and a rear section (3) which constitute a housing (4) of basically U-shaped cross-section, and a clamping piece (5) which fits into the front section (2) in the U-shaped housing (4). The clamping piece (5) is designed as a pivoting lever and has an L-shaped bearing journal (9) on its upper and its lower longitudinal sides, each bearing journal being lodged in a hinge-like manner in a mating recess (11) in the clamping piece (5) in the housing (4). An operating screw (13) which can be moved perpendicular to the swivelling axis of the lever is lodged in the housing (4) and abuts on the longer lever arm (12a) of the clamping piece (5). A blade (7) can be inserted and withdrawn through a guiding slit (6) in the housing (4) between the flat inner side of the housing (4) and the clamping piece (5). The shorter lever arm in front of the bearing journal clamps the blade (7) firmly in the guiding slit (6) when the longer lever arm of the clamping piece (5) is swivelled slightly outwards by the operating screw (13). The advantage of the cutter is that any type of blade can be used and can be extended and firmly clamped to any desired length through the guiding slit.</p> |
