PURPOSE:To obtain a sensitive material having superior stability by incorporating a compd. having a prescribed structure into at least one silver halide emulsion layer and by color-sensitizing silver halide particles contained in the emulsion layer with a spectral sensitizing dye having a prescribed structure. CONSTITUTION:A compd. represented by formula I is incorporated into a silver halide emulsion layer and silver halide particles contained in the emulsion layer are color-sensitized with a spectral sensitizing dye represented by formula II. In the formula I, R1 is alkyl or alkoxy group, J is alkylene group, each of R2 and R3 is alkyl or alkenyl group and (n) is an integer of 0-5. In the formula II, Z1 is a group of atoms required to complete a benzothiazole or naphthothiazole ring, each of R6 and R7 is H, halogen atom, alkyl, alkoxy, hydroxyl or aryl group, each of R4 and R5 is alkyl group, X<-> is an anion, n=0 or 1, and in case of n=0, an inner salt is formed. |
