PURPOSE:To permit exact positioning of respective magnetic heads to a magnetic disk by mounting two pieces of the magnetic heads which are respectively provided with two pieces of magnetic gaps independently on one carriage in such a manner that azimuth can be adjusted. CONSTITUTION:Two pieces of the magnetic head 19A-1, 19B-1 which are respectively provided with two pieces of the magnetic gaps are independently mounted on one carriage 1 in such a manner that the azimuth can be adjusted. The position adjustment and azimuth adjustment of the respective heads 19A-1, 19B-1 are executed independently from each other. The exact positioning of the respective pairs of magnetic gaps of the respective heads 19A-1, 19B-1 with the magnetic disk is thereby executed and the stable recording and reproducing of image information to and from the magnetic disk are permitted.
