<p>PURPOSE:To permit taking up and delivery of an optical fiber cable without twisting the cable by driving feed sheaves by means of gears which engage with an internal gear mounted on the inside of an inside cylinder and rotates while revolving. CONSTITUTION:The feed sheaves 5, 8 are revolved along the inside cylinder 2 while being rotated in the direction backward from the rotating direction of an arm 4 by the engagement of the internally toothed gear 3 with gears 6, 9 when the arm 4 rotates in the case of a taking up. The cable 20 is fed from the lower side in the central part of the device along the feed sheaves 5 and 8 via the inside of a hollow revolving shaft 19 and a guide part 21 and is wound on the outside of the inside cylinder 2. The cable 20 is delivered by the same friction force as in the case of the taking up but since the respective feed sheaves rotate in the direction backward from the direction in the case of the taking-up, the cable passes the inside of the revolving shaft 19 and emerges from the lower side in the central part of the device. The bends and twists of the cable are thereby decreased and the easy taking up or delivery of the optical fiber cable is permitted without using an optical rotary connector or the like.</p> |
