PURPOSE:To realize a retrieving job even with the complicated conditions by forming a memory which performs comparison of levels in the form of a memory unit containing a retrieving value storing part and a storing part which stores the memory value corresponding to said retrieving value and performing comparison between the input value and the retrieving value for collation with a logical equation to deliver the result of comparison as long as the coincidence is obtained. CONSTITUTION:The input values received via a level comparing subject value input line 1 are sent to the corresponding comparators 8-11 and 19-22 and compared with the corresponding values stored in a retrieving value storing part according to the designation given from a comparison condition designating line 2 for check of the difference and coincidence among their levels. Then the results of these comparisons are given to the logical computing elements 12 and 23 and the arithmetic operations are carried out based on the indications given from a logical arithmetic condition designating line 3. The results of these operations are applied to the output control parts 17 and 28 for each memory unit and the permission of output is given to the memory value storing parts 18 and 29 as long as said arithmetic results are correct. hereafter the coincident output is outputted from a value output line 34 via an output gate part 31. in such a way, for instance, the points within a designated rectangle are easily extracted among those points set within a 2-dimensional space.
