<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a photocoupler, a solid state relay having low price and high performance by varying the shape and the area of a photodiode in response to the intensity change of a light from an LED, and equalizing the quantities of incident light to the photodiodes. CONSTITUTION:An integrated circuit chip 2 and an LED 3 are aligned and placed on a lead frame 1, covered with a transparent resin 4, and the light from the LED 3 is introduced to the integrated circuit chip 2. A photodiode 6 in which the shape area is varied in response to the intensity change of the light of the LED 3 is formed on the chip 2, and the quantities of the lights incident to the photodiodes are substantially equalized.</p> |
