<p>A method for moulding a layer of foamed plastic material on sheet material (18), in a mould comprising a lower mould part (10) having a moulding cavity (11), and an upper mould part (12), movable between an open position and a closed position. According to the invention, a preshaped sheet of material (18) having a front surface and a rear surface destined to adhere to the layer of foamed material, is placed and held firmly with its front face against an air suction surface (13) of the upper mould part (12), by means of continuous air suction; a mixture of foamable plastic material is fed into the cavity (11) of the mould, and the pneumatic support for the sheet material (18) is maintained for at least part of the time necessary for the complete foaming of the plastic mixture in the closed mould (10, 12).</p> |
