PURPOSE:To prevent steering force from becoming light in high speed traveling when oil leakage occurs by supplying hydraulic pressure which passes through power assisting adjuster valve which is energized onto the open side by a spring and is energized onto the close side by the output oil of a car speed sensor into a hydraulic reaction room which is attached to a switching valve which controls supply and discharge of the hydraulic oil. CONSTITUTION:A pinion 7 on a steering shaft 10 is engaged with a rack 6 which links steering shaft 10. This switching valve 12 is forced to the neutral position by hydraulic pressed in a hydraulic reaction room 26 through plungers 27, 28 and the hydraulic reaction room 26 is supplied with hydraulic oil passing through a variable 48. In this case, a car speed sensor 14 is connected to a discharged oil line 24 through a sensor orifice 45 in order to pump out much discharged oil the pressure of which is adjusted by a pressure adjusting valve 44 which is installed between the discharged oil line 24 and an oil reservoir 23 in proportion to the increases of the car speed. Then the opening of the variable restrictor 48 is decided by the valve body 35 of a power assisting adjusting valve 30 thereby the valve body 35 is energized onto the close side by the output pressure of the car speed sensor 41 and energized onto the open side by a spring 39.
