PURPOSE:To improve the contrast of a recording image by placing a cylindrical lens and a radiation shield use transparent plate between a light source and a liquid crystal shutter. CONSTITUTION:Between a light source 2 and a liquid crystal shutter 1, a cylindrical lens 10 and a radiation shield use transparent plate are placed. The cylindrical lens 10 delimits between the liquid crystal shutter 1 and the fluorescent lamp 2, and also, brings a light beam outputted from the fluorescent lamp 2, to an image formation linearly like a liquid crystal shutter array or the liquid crystal shutter 1. Accordingly, since the quantity of light radiated to the liquid crystal shutter 1 increases, when the light turns on, the quantity of light radiated to a photosensitive body 4 increases. In such a way, the contrast of a recording image is improved.
