PURPOSE:To stably obtain an image having a stable density, and a sharp image by specifying the projecting length of a control blade. CONSTITUTION:The titled device is provided with a roller 12 driven to rotate, and a blade 18 pressing the tip side against the outer peripheral part of the roller 12, in the rotational direction of the roller 12, and holds and carries a developer to the outer peripheral part of the roller 12, while controlling it by the blade 18, based on the rotation of the roller 12. In this case, the projecting length (l) extending from the contact P0 of the blade 18 and the roller 12 to the tip P1, of the blade 18 is set as shown in an expression I. In such a way, the carrying quantity of the developer carried along the surface of the roller 12 is stabilized, and the deterioration of the image density attended with toner supply shortage, and the generation of fogging caused by the excess of the toner supply quantity are eliminated. |
