Bottles (A, B, C) are subjected to specific treatments on a roundabout (3). On leaving the roundabout a star (12) sorts the bottles, removing the bottles (D) which have been subjected to all the treatments and recycling, via a transfer star (21) and an entry star (7) the other bottles (B, C) for final treatment. The bottles not yet treated by the roundabout (2) are distributed by the transfer star (21) into cells which are left vacant by the exit star (12) as a result of the removal of the bottles (D) whose treatment is finished. Use for reducing the lengthwise bulk of the machine. See Figure 1.
