PURPOSE:To enable a defreezing, heating, cooking and detecting a finished cooking with a scorch of a heated material to be performed under a high reliability for a long period of time by a method wherein an infrared ray sensor for detecting a thermal radiation energy strength generated from a heated material and two types of optical sensors for use in visual sensor for detecting a reflected visual strength sensing operation are arranged and they are changed over between a defreezing, heating and cooking time and a cooking with a scorch to detect the finished state of the heated material. CONSTITUTION:An infrared ray sensor 9b is set as an optical sensor 9 in order to defreeze and cook, an electrical energy is supplied through a power supply device 5, a shape memory alloy spring is extended to open a shutter 55, and at the same time an infrared ray corresponding to a temperature of a heated material 2 is detected through a heat-resistant optical conduction rod 7 and a chopper of an optical fiber 8 installed out of a heating chamber. When a strength of the infrared ray of the optical sensor reaches a predetermined value, electrical heaters 4a,..., 4d capable of heating the heated material 2 up to such a degree as applying a scorch are operated through the power supply device 5 and at the same time a changing-over device 62 is driven to a visual light sensor 9a and changed over. When a strength of the visual light reaches a predetermined condition, a biasing of the electric heater and the shape memory alloy spring 50 is terminated.
