Process and equipment for controlling the corrosion protection and/or the mechanical cleaning of heat exchanger pipes

The invention relates to a process as well as equipment for controlling the corrosion protection and the mechanical cleaning of heat exchanger pipes produced by cleaning elements. The frequently nonuniform flow of the coolant through the condenser pipes and the resulting nonuniform contamination are measured in randomly selected pipes by determining the heat transfer coefficient in the measured pipe from the steam in the coolant. After this measurement the cleaning takes place with the cleaning elements. If the cover layers which protect against corrosion are attacked or damaged, chemical corrosion protection or electrical corrosion protection can be produced specifically or generally. The duration and intensity of this corrosion protection in turn depends upon the measurement of the potential resistance in the measured pipe.
