PURPOSE:To obtain the titled food useful as relish, etc., without impairing quality for a long period, by blending cheese free of moisture with fats or oils to provide a blend of the cheese with the fats or oils having a specific moisture content, extending the obtained blend into a thin layer between two sheets of laver and lightly pressing the layer. CONSTITUTION:Cheese powder free of moisture is blended with fats or oils, such as coconut oil, melted by heating and fat-containing milk powder, etc., are then added and stirred so as to provide a homogeneous blend of the cheese with the fat or oil having >=7wt.% moisture content. The resultant blend 2 of the cheese with the fat or oil is then homogeneously spread over the surface of a sheet of toasted laver 1 and then another sheet of toasted laver 1 is placed thereon, lightly pressed not to flow the cheese blend 2 and allowed to stand at room temperature until the blend 2 is solidified. Thereby the aimed food having a shape in which the blend 2 of the cheese with the fat or oil is extended into a thin layer form between the two sheets of laver 1 is obtained. |
