PURPOSE:To permit application of the titled spectacles to personal use by delivering spectacle driving signals to alternately open and close respective liquid crystal shutters of right spectacles and left spectacles according to shutter control signals. CONSTITUTION:A synchronizing separator circuit 2 discriminates a vertical synchronizing signal V and image signals B, R, G inputted thereto, takes in the identification signals S1-S3 thereof and delivers the shutter control signals 11a, 11b alternately in synchronization with the vertical synchronizing signal V. More specifically, the shutter control signal 11a is so turned on as to 'open' the liquid crystal shutter of the right eye and simultaneously the shutter control signal 11b is so turned on as to 'close' the liquid crystal shutter of the left eye when a video signal 10 indicates a right screen. The shutter control signal 11b is so turned on to 'open' the liquid crystal shutter of the left eye and simultaneously the shutter control signal 11a is so turned on to 'close' the liquid crystal shutter of the right eye when the signal 10 indicates the left screen. The driving device for the stereoscopic spectacles suitable for personal use is thereby obtd.
