PURPOSE:To permit provision of a plating liquid with which a magnetic layer having excellent corrosion resistance is obtainable by using Co ion, complexing agent and reducing agent thereof, and Mo compd. as the essential components of the plating liquid. CONSTITUTION:This plating liquid is the Co-Mo alloy plating liquid contg. Co ion, the complexing agent of the Co ion, the reducing agent of the Co ion and the Mo compd. as the essential components. The Co-Mo alloy having the extremely good corrosion resistance and increased mechanical strength is obtd. by using such plating liquid. Co<2+> ion is preferably used as the Co ion. The above-mentioned complexing agent is preferably the complexing agent of the Co<2+> ion. The complexing agent which stabilizes the Co<2+> ion without settling and decomposing the Co<2+> ion mainly in an alkaline plating liquid is preferred. Such compd. is exemplified by aminocarboxylic acid and the alkali metal salt thereof. The above-mentioned reducing agent is preferably the reducing agent of the Co<2+> ion, for which amineboranes are preferred. |
