In plan view of the combustion chamber, the major dia. of the throat across the combustion chamber center extends in the direction towards the fuel discharge point of the injection nozzle, with the distance of the fuel jet discharge point from the combustion chamber center being 0.35 to 0.70 times the combustion chamber dia. The geometrical fuel jet direction is on the one hand projected into a plane perpendicular to the combustion chamber axis, forming an angle of 10 to 50 deg. at the fuel discharge point with a straight line extending through the combustion chamber longitudinal axis.
