<p>PURPOSE:To preserve vegetables and fruits in a fresh state for a long period with small energy consumption, by detecting humidity in a vegetable land fruit storing device by a humidity sensor set in the device and controlling the humidity through a timer and a blower in a given upper and lower limits. CONSTITUTION:A humidity sensor 3 to detect the upper limit value (e.g. 97% RH) and the lower limit value (e.g. 90% RH) of humidity in a vegetable and fruit storing device 1 is set in the device 1. A suction pipe 4 connected to a solenoid valve 6 and the sensor 3, a blower 10 at the end of the pipe and an exhaust tube 5 with a solenoid valve 9 are laid. The perishable vegetables and fruits 2 are fed to the device 1. When the sensor 3 detects the upper limit value set in a humidity controller 7, a timer 8 is operated and after the lapse of a given time, the solenoid valves 6 and 9 and the blower 10 are operated, fresh air is introduced from the suction pipe 4 to the device 1 to ventilate air. When the sensor 3 detects the lower limit value, the valves 6 and 9 are closed through the timer 8, the blower 10 is stopped and the humidity in the device 1 is controlled in a given range.</p> |
