PURPOSE:To easily teach a track of relative movement at the time of automatic measurement in a short time by providing an image panel with a coordinate detecting means which extracts coordinate positions by abutting. CONSTITUTION:The image panel 30 is formed of a screen 32 and a transparent resistance film 36A. When a conduction pen 34 as a coordinate indicating tool is made to abut on the image panel 30 at an optional point P, potentials obtained by dividing voltages +V and -V for detection are detected as a coordinate signal (c). When a track for teaching is set by using an image 9A of an object of measurement for teaching projected on the image panel 30, the coordinate values of both ends of the track for teaching are extracted in order with the conduction pen 34 and inputted. Consequently, the track of the relative movement at the time of automatic measurement is easily taught in a short time without moving relatively an image transmitting means such as a protection lens and the object of measurement.
