PURPOSE:To detect a stall in a real time by transmitting a stall signal when a microinstruction detects that no branch is given to its own address and also when the coincidence of comparison result is obtained between the microprogram address which is under execution and the microprogram address carried out in an immediately preceding step. CONSTITUTION:A stall signal 17 received from an AND circuit 5 is set at logic '1' only when the coincidence is obtained between a microprogram address 13 which is carried out in an immediately preceding step and a microprogram address 12 which is under execution even though the microinstruction carried out in an immediately preceding step is not branched into its own address. This shows that a microprogram is set under a stall state. In such a way, the signal 17 is transmitted under said conditions and the stall of the microprogram can be detected in the real time.
