PURPOSE:To enable the recording/reproducing of two tracks in one reciprocation of a card by providing guiding parts on both sides of the respective tracks, and pre-recording the identification information of the track and user's area information in the next part of one guiding part and the terminating information of the track in the next part of the other guiding part, respectively. CONSTITUTION:An optical card 1 is driven to reciprocate in a lengthwise direction so as to execute the recording/reproducing of data. Therefore, in a recording area 2, the respective tracks are constituted in order such as a guiding part, an ID part, a user's area, an end part and a guiding part from a read direction and the area 2 is constituted of n-number of tracks whose read directions are mixed with right and left directions. An information part according to the read direction is provided in the next part of the guiding part or the identified information in case of reading in a direction opposite to the read direction is provided, so that the track whose read direction is opposite can be early identified and at the same time the recording/reproducing from two directions can be effectively executed.
