PURPOSE:To make a work lens so as to have a preset V-angle value over the whole lens circumference, by grinding the work lens in a way of moving the work lens in the axial direction of a lens axis as much as an axial travel portion according to a template radius vector at the time of V-angle working of the work lens. CONSTITUTION:Corresponding to a template radius vector rhoi, an axial distance between lens axes 22a and 22b at the time of V-angle working of a work lens and a rotation axis of a V-grindstone is found. Next, on the basis of this distance, working radius vectors L'i and theta'i of the work lens is found as well. A lens lowering amount xDi at a time when the lens groughly ground by a rough grindstone 12 comes into contact with the V-grindstone 13 at both the edge is found in making it correspond to the template radius vector rhoi. Then, travel (yi) of the work lens in the axial direction of these lens axes 22a and 22b at the time of the V-angle working. And, at the time of the V-angle working, the work lens is moved in the axial direction of these lens axes 22a and 22b as much as the axial travel (yi) according to the template radius vector rhoi. |
