Sealing strip for lower edge of door - has delay mechanism to prevent descent of strip until door is fully closed

The door, which fits in a doorway which has no sill, is provided with a sealing strip (3) which fits in a recess in the lower edge of the door. The sealing strip is mounted on a mechanism which enables it to move upwards when the door is open and downwards when the door is closed. The sealing strip is actuated by a rod (5) with a knob (31) which abuts against the door post on the hinge side of the door when the door is closed. This rod (5) acts on a spring (7) which acts on a second rod (17) fitted with a damping device (25). The spring (7) rod (17) and damper (25) form a delaying device which delays the descent of the sealing strip until the door is fully closed. USE - Draught excluders.
