<p>PURPOSE:To generate a function at a high accuracy by series-connecting a polygonal function generator to a logarithmic amplifier. CONSTITUTION:In order to obtain a function as shown in a solid line E0 with respect to a required signal (for example, a temperature signal T), an input signal (ei) supplied to an input terminal 1 is turned to an output signal (ei') as shown in a broken line, by a fundamental function generator consisting of a logarithmic amplifier 2. At this time, the difference between an objective function E0 and an approximate function output signal (ei) is as shown in a solid line. A polygonal approximate function with respect to the above-mentioned difference, which function has two bending points and shown in a broken line, is generated by an auxiliary function generator consisting of a polygonal function generator 3. Accordingly, an output (e0) from an output terminal 4 is turned to a function having an extremely small error with respect to an objective function.</p> |
