An automatic game machine of the type mentioned under 1. is known e.g. for pool. An automatic pool game machine requires very much space which leads to problems in particular in the case of smaller catering operations. An automatic game machine is therefore to be produced which requires considerably less space but retains the same attractiveness. The new automatic game machine is characterised in that the playing surface is a playing board (10), that the game pieces (21, 22, 31 to 34, 41, 42) are made differently according to their function in the game with regard to their height and/or their diameter and/or their weight and/or their magnetic and/or their electric properties and that, under the playing board (10), there is arranged a sorting device (2, 20, 30, 40) with separate exits for the sorted game pieces, which sorts the game pieces (21, 22, 31 to 34, 41, 42), which have dropped, according to their function in the game and responds to differences of the game pieces (21, 22, 31 to 34, 41, 42) in height and/or in diameter and/or in weight and/or in the magnetic properties and/or in the electric conductivity, and that there adjoin the exits of the sorting device (2, 20, 30, 40) two game piece magazines (14, 15), in which the game pieces (21, 22, 31 to 34, 41, 42) collect after sorting depending upon their properties, one magazine (15) for the pieces passing back into the game being freely accessible from outside ...
