PURPOSE:To display a circuit diagram with its partial omission and to shorten the output time of the circuit diagram by providing a circuit display editing part to convert at least one of those circuits in a group having the same constitution contents with the circuit display information part into the display of a prescribed basic pattern when the circuits of the same constitution contents exist in the adjacent position. CONSTITUTION:A circuit display editing part 12 extracts the arrangement coordinates and the scales of the circuits of the same constitution contents out of the information on the circuit display stored in a circuit display information part 13 for those circuits of the same constitution contents extracted out of a net list part 14. Thus the arrangement areas are obtained for the circuits of the same constitution contents. When no other circuit exists between the circuits of the same constitution contents, the part 12 stores repetitively the information which sets the length of the side in the non-adjacent direction equal to the length of the side of a group of the original circuits and displays the side in the adjacent direction in the form of a rectangle of the prescribed length as the display information of a circuit into a circuit display information part 13. A display control part 11 delivers a circuit diagram to an output device based on the display information of the part 13.
