PURPOSE:To improve formability, baking hardenability, and filiform rust resistance and also to enlarge the range of application, by carrying out cladding by using an Al-Cu-Mg-Si alloy as core material and also using Al of specific thickness as cladding material. CONSTITUTION:An Al alloy consisting of, by weight, 1.5-3.0% Cu, 0.3-1.5% Mg, 0.3-1.0% Si, 0.005-0.3% Ti and/or 0.0005-0.06% B, 0.0001-0.2% Be, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities is used as core material. Then, one side or both sides of this core material are clad with an Al material of >=99.0% Al content as cladding material to a thickness of 2-20% of the total sheet thickness per one side. If necessary, 0.0001-0.2% Be is incorporated to Al as cladding material. In this way, an Al-alloy clad sheet metal having high material strength can be obtained.
