The unit consists of a full-beam headlamp and dipped-beam headlamp. The two reflectors are joined to form a unit. The dipped-beam headlamp essentially consists of an elliptical reflector, a collector lens, a diaphragm and a diffusing lens. All these parts are joined to form a structural unit. In order to be able to arrange the diffusing lens with its body detached from the lens and its frame but such that it can be swivelled together with these parts, there is integrally formed on the full-beam reflector a tube whose front end accepts the diffusing lens. This tube simultaneously envelops the carrier frame of the lens, with the result that the view into the dipped-beam headlamp is screened. <IMAGE> |
