TERMINAL STRUCTURE OF SEALED LEAD ACID BATTERY

PURPOSE:To make easy the arrangement change of a process and the control of parts and products by separately, symmetrically mounting a positive terminal and a negative terminal on one surface and the back surface of a battery so as to be recessed from these surfaces. CONSTITUTION:A forming 3 obtained by insert-molding a post 4 is covered with a saddle-shaped terminal 2, and the head of the post 4 is inserted into a hole 5 of the terminal 2. The terminal 2 is mounted so that its one side is fitted to one surface of a battery and the other side is fitted to its back surface so as to be recessed from these surfaces and be exposed from the battery. The head of the post 4 and the hole 5 of the terminal 2 are bonded by soldering 7. An upper cover 1 is placed on the terminal 2 and a safety vent 9 and bonded to the forming 3 by ultrasonic welding to fix the terminal 2 and to seal the safety vent 9. The positions of both polarities can be retained by a kind of battery.
