PURPOSE:To obtain an image of high quality by allowing a heating means to heat a photosensitive material adherently and airtightly from the photosensitive face side. CONSTITUTION:During the period of holding the photosensitive material between 1st and 2nd belts 44, 47 and carrying it into a housing 41, a heater 48 is driven and the photosensitive face of the material is heated through the 1st belt 44. Since the 1st belt 44 carries the material so as to be stuck to the photosensitive face of the material, the photosensitive face is not contacted with oxygen in air, and since the material is heated in contact with the photosensitive face side without using a supporting body, the material is efficiently and uniformly heat-developed. Thus, an image of high quality can be obtained.
