PURPOSE:To obtain an antitumor agent useful for treating malignant tumor, having antitumor activity, immune enhancing activity, safety in terms of toxicity to human body and side effects, rapidly showing medicinal effects, containing a polysaccharide comprising galactosamine as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:An antitumor agent having a polysaccharide comprising galactosamine (e.g. galactosamine polymer produced by Aspergillus parasticus) as an active ingredient. The antitumor agent shows excellent antitumor activity even with a small amount of does and a few times of administration. The antitumor agent is effective against tumor cell of sarcoma 180, Ehrlich carcinoma, etc. A dose is 0.1mug/kg-100mg/kg, preferably 0.1mug/kg-100mug/kg daily per adult. |
