PURPOSE:To realize high speed in the preprocessing and shorten the conveyor line in a transfer device for conveying can cover aggregate to the seamer a can manufacturing line by providing a temporary reserve chute between a rotary trough and a transfer trough so as to control both troughs independently. CONSTITUTION:The packaging material of a can cover aggregate is removed by packaging material removing device and sent to a rotary trough 20 by a pusher not shown in the figure. Next the rotary trough 20 is inclined to either right or left temporary reservation chute 21 side and the can cover aggregate is rolled and shifted to the temporary reservation chute 21. And when a sensor 44 detects that the can cover aggregate is not on a transfer trough 22, a rotary actuator 38 operates to rotate a stopper and the can cover aggregate is shifted to the transfer trough 22. At this time, the can cover aggregate is pushed by an upperstream stopper bar 36. And the can cover aggregate in the transfer trough 22 is sent out by the pusher. By this constitution, the preprocessing is made in a high speed and the conveyor line can be shortened.
