<p>The invention relates to the electrical supply for equipment on board a vehicle. An embodiment comprises: - ballast transistors (5) of MOS type, inserted between the on-board network and the equipment to be protected, - a differential amplifier (8) supplied via a start-up supply device (6) and a DC/DC converter (7); - a switching device (10) selecting a setpoint voltage Vc, from three voltages, Va, Vb, Vh, corresponding to three operating regions of the device; - a first reference-voltage generator (11) furnishing the voltage Vh corresponding to the highest voltage in the nominal supply range for the equipment; - a second reference-voltage generator (12) furnishing the voltage Vb corresponding to the lowest value in the nominal supply range for the equipment; - an alignment and shifting device (9) furnishing the voltage Va which is dependent upon a voltage aligned and shifted relative to the troughs of the transients and of the ripples in the input voltage Ve.
