<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a H2S gas from being generated by bringing an aqueous solution, which contains a specific metallic ion, into contact with a sulfide phosphor film. CONSTITUTION:At least one species of a metallic ion, which is selected from Cu, Mn, Pb, Bi, Cd, Sb, Sn, Ag, Fe, Co, Ni, Zn, Mo, and W, is brought into contact with a sulfide phosphor of a cathode-ray tube so as to react with a S<2-> ion and then to precipitate a stable metallic sulfide. The object of this sulfide phosphor is a phosphor film which is hydrolyzed to easily generate a H2S gas like an alkaline earth group sulfide phosphor. The amount of the metallic ion added to the phosphor is 0.5 equivalent or more. The reaction is allowed to be promoted by adding acids such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrofluoric acid, nitric acid, phosphoric acid to the aqueous solution.</p> |
